If you’ve ever worked in an environment that involved any kind of physical labor, you’ve probably sat through your fair share of safety training. In those situations, it can be easy to disregard the reminders.
However, you’ve probably also found yourself face-to-face with some kind of potentially life-threatening safety incident – whether it involved you specifically, or a co-worker. In these instances, more often than not, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) has played a big part in protecting your life and/or the life of your co-worker.
It’s interesting to note, though, that most people do not think about using PPE at their home. If PPE is so important in a work environment, why wouldn’t it be important on your own property – especially when you’re doing some of the very same activities?
Your life is important. Whenever you’re doing work at your home, please consider using PPE. Safety glasses, work gloves, and even a hard hat are simple things that could very well save your life.
