On the news and in conversation, people have often been calling the effort to end COVID-19 a “war”, a “battle”, or a “fight”. And in a lot of ways, it’s an accurate metaphor. When it comes to your home and property, though, there are some very literal ways to kill the Coronavirus if it happens to find its’ way inside your home.
First and foremost, you know that it’s important to keep your hands clean. Over and over again, we’ve all been reminded to thoroughly wash our hands for at least 20 seconds to properly flush the virus down the drain.
However, you might also institute a regular schedule of disinfecting your home’s common touchpoints, or at least you might do so after every time you return home. Disinfectant solutions are relatively easy to come by, and even if a commercial product isn’t available, a solution of 2% bleach can be enough to kill the virus.
