Whether or not we like to admit it, people are significantly influenced by what they see. This is hardly more evident than when it comes to first impressions. When a potential customer arrives at your place of business, what first impression do they get? Is the exterior of your business the type of place that instills trust and confidence in potential customers?

It could be that all it takes to improve the appearance of your business and thereby improve the first impression people have of it is to do a little cleaning and maintenance. Why not take a quick walk to the outside of your business, and look at the building with the fresh eyes of a new customer. Is there anything that needs repairs? Could you assign an employee to clean the entrance to your building each day? While making some repairs may cost something initially, wouldn’t having more business make that worthwhile?
